Culminating in a work session with A Broadway Talent Agent and a Broadway Actor
Intended for: Grades 8-12
Industry Classes: This musical theater class is meant for the student looking to work on their skills with solo musical theatre songs and must be comfortable singing alone in front of a group of their peers. Pillars of this class include selecting the right song, building confidence, and overcoming stage fright. Students work on acting (intention, expression and ease), singing (breathing, range, control and enunciation) and perfecting individual solos from Broadway shows. Students will have at least two songs in their repertoire for them to have ready for future auditions or performances. A live accompanist will be on hand. This class culminates with a Broadway talent agent and actor coming in for a question and answer session as well as providing feedback to each student on their pieces.
